How to run it
In a ladder league every court is a small round robin among players of similar level. On a court of four, three games let each player partner each of the other three once. A court of five plays five games with one player sitting each time. After the night, the winner of each court moves up a court and the last-placed player moves down. CourtSheet does the grouping, the rotation and the scoring, then writes next week's ladder order for you.
- Type the players in ladder order, best first. Week one can be by rating or by sign-up.
- Set the courts. 16 players on 4 courts makes four groups of four; uneven numbers make groups of five.
- Choose 3 rounds for groups of four (5 if you have groups of five), make the schedule and print it.
- Enter the scores. Under the standings, "Next week's order" moves each court winner up and each last place down.
Tips
- Rank inside a court by wins, then point difference, so every game matters.
- Copy next week's order into your group chat, or press "Use this order" to build week two right away.
- If someone misses a week, remove their name; the groups re-balance and the order stays the same.
