How to run it
A fixed-partner round robin is the simplest fair tournament: each team meets each other team once and the best record wins. With enough courts CourtSheet uses the classic circle method, so six teams on three courts finish in five rounds with nobody waiting. With fewer courts it spreads the games out so the sit-outs stay even and no matchup repeats before every pair has met.
- Type one team per line: "Ana & Ben", or with a team name, "Net Ninjas: Ana & Ben".
- Choose the courts. Six teams on three courts play a full round robin in five rounds.
- Make the schedule, print the grid and hang it where every team can see it.
- Enter scores as games end. The standings rank teams by wins, then point difference.
Tips
- An odd number of teams means one team sits each round; over a full round robin every team sits exactly once.
- Teams of three or four work too: put everyone on the line, like "Ana & Ben & Cy".
- For a playoff, take the top four from the standings and play semifinals and a final.
