How to run it
Mixed doubles socials need one rule the usual rotation charts ignore: each team has one player from side A and one from side B. CourtSheet keeps that rule on every court, rotates partners so nobody gets the same partner twice until the numbers force it, and handles uneven sides by sitting players out from the bigger side in turn. Side A and side B can be women and men, or any two groups you want mixed, like club members and guests, or stronger and newer players.
- List side A in the first box and side B in the second, one name per line.
- Pick your courts. Each court needs two players from each side.
- With six on each side and three courts, six rounds pairs every side A player with every side B player exactly once.
- Make the schedule, print the grid or the player cards, and enter scores as the games finish.
Tips
- Uneven sides are fine: if side B has two extra players, two side B players sit out each round, taking turns.
- Standings are per player, so the night still has a winner even though partners change every game.
- Want fixed mixed teams instead? Switch to Fixed teams and type each pair on one line, like "Ana & Abe".
